Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said that 200 para athletes will be trained in the National Center of Excellence NCOEs in Bhopal, Bangalore, Gandhinagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Trivandrum, Patiala, Mumbai, Sonipat and Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.
In a video message, Mr Thakur said, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi many important steps are being taken in the Indian sports world to take this field forward by adopting an inclusive approach. He said, now with the addition of 103 male and 97 female athletes to the NCOEs, the country is gearing up for even greater achievements. The Minister called upon everyone to appreciate the para-athletes, be proud of their achievements and salute their flying spirits and together celebrate the triumph of their special abilities.
