Aam Aadmi Party today offered one Lok Sabha seat to Congress in the national capital saying it wants to contest on the remaining six seats.
Briefing media in New Delhi, party General Secretary Sandeep Pathak said, the Congress does not deserve even a single Lok Sabha seat in Delhi as per past electoral performances. He, however, said the AAP offers one seat to Congress honouring alliance dharma. On the occasion, Mr. Pathak also announced candidates for two Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat and one in Goa.
Meanwhile, BJP took a dig at Congress after AAP announced to give single Lok Sabha seat in Delhi saying it has shown Congress its ground situation in the city.
Party Delhi Unit Chief Virendra Sachdeva said, today Congress is in a situation where even small parties believe that there is no political benefit in allying with Congress. He asserted that whether there is an alliance or not, between AAP and Congress, BJP will win all seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital.
