The National Health Mission (NHM), Tripura and Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. (SHRI) have taken a significant step towards advancing healthcare services in Tripura by signing the RBSK- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Wednesday at NHM, Tripura, a press statement said.
During the event, DK Chakma, Mission Director of NHM; Dr. Sanjay Rudrapal, State Project Officer – RBSK, Tripura; Suresh Thokchom, Executive Director, SHRI;  Santosh Shekhar, General Manager, SHRI; and Amit Das, Assistant Manager – Business Development (SHRI Tripura) were present.
The MOU symbolizes a strategic partnership with the goal of capitalizing on the strengths and knowledge of NHM Tripura and SHRI.
 NHM Tripura will combine its efforts with SHRI, a distinguished institution acknowledged for its cutting-edge medical research and exceptional healthcare provisions.
This strategic partnership between NHM Tripura and SHRI sets the stage for a transformative era in healthcare delivery, promising a brighter, healthier future for the citizens of Tripura.
Under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), SHRI had completed 222 device closures, 49 open heart surgeries, 37 device closure camps were conducted across all districts in Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram, benefiting children aged 0 to 18 years, until November 2023. SHRI is already empaneled with RBSK-Mizoram & RBSK-Nagaland.
SHRI is the first NABH accredited medical college hospital in NE India, committed to delivering comprehensive healthcare services and cutting-edge medical research. With a legacy of 38 years, SHRI continues to prioritize patient care and community health, offering a wide spectrum of medical specialties and services.
