TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarman strongly criticised the state government for not providing TTAADC development funds. In a meeting in Ambassa Debbarman alleged that all development works had come to a standstill due to paucity of funds.
“Primary education comes under the purview of the ADC – however, the State Government has not released funds for it, so far”, he alleged.
On his dream about ‘Greater Tipraland’ the TIPRA Motha chairman said, ‘the demand of Greater Tipraland can only be achieved if the party can make it to the state assembly. Having power in the TTAADC will not serve the purpose. Our voice will only heard if we can reach the state assembly’.
He urged for greater unity among the indigenous people to achieve the proposed Greater Tipraland.
