Tripura government is committed to generate employment notwithstanding the problems arisen out of Covid scourge. There is no let-up in the efforts on the part of the government in regard to employment generation with a holistic approach, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in Khowai on Friday where he laid foundation stone of a PHC at Chebri and then inaugurated the new building of Tulashikar PHC.
The Chief Minister said, the state government’s priority areas are healthcare, education, electricity, drinking water and infrastructure development and gave details of the success achieved under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (PMAY) and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
“”Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a goal to ensure pucca house to all by 2022. As part of the initiative Tripura is going to have more 1.80 lakh houses under PMAY”, Deb said.
He also the exhorted the people to get vaccinated without delay. Tribal welfare minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia was also present at the programme in Tulashikar. Principal Secretary to Health J.K. Sinha, NHM Tripura Mission Director Dr. Siddhartha Shiv Jaiswal, Director of Family Welfare Dr. Radha Debbarma among others were present. As part of his visit to Khowai, the Chief Minister also visited Chrlie Company camp of 10th-Bn TSR at Kalabagan. He interacted with the jawans as well as inspected the existing facilities in the camp.
