After curtains were drawn on ‘Destination Tripura, Investment Summit 2021’ on Friday, a group of industrialists got down into action and visited Sabroom to have a ground-level experience about the facilities and opportunities available there.
Local MLA Sankar Roy received the industrialists and held intensive discussions highlighting prospects of investment.
The delegation visited SEZ, Maitri Setu on the Feni River, ICP, Logistic Hub, Goods Yard, Ludhu Industrial Zone, Sabroom Rail station, Helipad, Bus terminus and Ekalabya School etc.
With well connected with other parts of the State through road transport and rail connectivity, Sabroom SEZ is offering easy movement of inputs and finished products. Besides, Maitri Setu and ICP facilities will make Bangladesh markets accessible.
Speaking to the media, Sankar Roy said, “the investors have explored various aspects relating to the investment. They also talked about the time required to start a business initiative as well as highlighted employment opportunities likely to be created. We are hopeful that something good will happen to Sabroom very soon”.
After inspecting the facilities available at Sabroom, the group of industrialists expressed their satisfaction and commented ‘we have found her more than what we expected.
“We are very much hopeful after visiting the sites in Sabroom. This is virgin land and investors are always in search of opportunities to invest. We will highlight the facilities available here in different forums like CII etc – we are confident that many investors will become interested”, the visiting delegates said.
Apart from the facilities, the delegates also praised the cooperation of the MLA. The delegates said, the MLA told us that you identify the areas, we will ensure that the projects get sanctioned at the earliest – such kind of support is not available anywhere. We are truly hopeful”.
One of the delegates, Mushtaq Hussain of Bangladesh pointed out the interests of Bangla investors in Tripura.
