Ninety-seven new ESI hospitals have been approved across the country in the last ten years.
Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Shobha Karandlaje, said this in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today. She said, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) provides comprehensive medical care to insured persons and their families through a network of 165 ESI hospitals and one thousand 590 dispensaries across the country.
Ms. Karandlaje said ESIC has collaborated with Ayushmaan Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna to provide secondary and tertiary care medical services to Employees State Insurance beneficiaries.
