In Uttarakhand, at least eight people have died after a passenger vehicle fell into the river on the Thal-Pithoragarh road in the Muwani area of Pithoragarh district this evening. Three people were seriously injured in the accident. The injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the accident. He has directed the district administration to ensure proper treatment for the injured.
