Union Minister for Development of North East, Jyotiraditya Scindia today said that the 72nd Plenary of the NEC that will be chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah tomorrow will lay a new foundation for the speedy growth of the region.

Talking to reporters at the Agartala’s MBB airport upon his arrival this evening, Scindia said that in days to come the North East Region will see a rise and fast paced development, which has been conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said elaborate discussion will be held on the NEC’s activities in the past one year and to fulfil the aspirations of the states from the region.

Scindia said that the Union Home Minister will also chair a Banking Summit which has been organised to reinvigorate the economy’s backbone in the North East region.
