The Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal has shared that 36 people lost their lives in different incidents that occurred in the course of the Gen Z protest.
Secretary at the Ministry, Dr Bikas Devkota, said that 36 people have died so far as per the details received from different hospitals across the country. Total 284 people are undergoing treatment at 52 different hospitals across the country and overall 1,771 injured were treated. The injured are receiving free treatment in hospitals.
Dr Devkota added that 23 injured ones are receiving treatment at Civil Service Hospital, 32 at Trauma Centre, 25 at Teaching Hospital, 35 at Kathmandu Medical College, 28 at Nepal Police Hospital, and 53 at B&C Hospital, Jhapa. Similarly, 1379 people injured in the protest have returned home after treatment.
