In Gaza, twenty people have been killed in Israeli strikes over the past 12 hours, said Gaza’s civil defence agency, despite US President Donald Trump calling on Israel to immediately stop its bombardment. Israel continued its military campaign overnight into Saturday, despite Hamas and Israel both expressing willingness to pursue the first phase of Trump’s proposal.
The Israel Defense Forces and Israeli Prime Minister’s office both stated today that they were preparing for the first stage of Trump’s proposal, which includes the release of hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza.
