14th batch of 6,388 pilgrims leaves Jammu for Amarnath Cave Shrine

Under strict security arrangements, another batch of 6388 pilgrims, that is the 14th batch from Jammu, left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas base camp for the Kashmir valley to perform pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave Shrine. The pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 248 vehicles early this morning. The batch included 4886 Men, 1308 Women, 15 Children, 158 sadhus, and 21 sadhvis (female sadhus).
 
Of these, 2501 pilgrims left for the Baltal base camp and 3887 for the Pahalgam base camp early this morning, from where they will proceed for their further journey to the holy cave.
